Cheryl Pilate will be among the speakers at the Kansas Coalition Against the Death Penalty’s 2020 Kansas Abolition Conference. This year the event will focus “on the relationship of the death penalty to the struggles for criminal justice reform, racial equity, and civil rights.”
Pilate will discuss how the use of capital punishment delays progress in each of these arenas along with fellow panelists Beatrice E. Swoopes and Mark McCormick.
The conference will be held virtually as a Facebook live-streaming event on November 14. It is offered free of admission to KCADP members and the general public. Click here for more information.
