Morgan Pilate LLC (“Morgan Pilate”) respects your privacy and is committed to collecting, maintaining and using personal information about you responsibly as you visit the law firm website (“Site”). This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) applies to your use of the Site and describes how your personal information will be treated as you use the Site. This Policy does not apply to information provided to us in the course of our attorney-client relationships or which is protected by confidentiality, the attorney-client privilege, the attorney work product doctrine or any other applicable protection. Nothing in this Policy should be construed to create an attorney-client relationship with visitors to our website [please see the Terms of Use] or, conversely, to detract from any of the protections resulting from such relationships.

Section One: Information We Collect From You When You Visit The Site

In general, you may visit the Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself except as set forth in this section.

Section Two: Information You Submit To Us Through The Site

We do not collect information about you such as your name, address, telephone number, email addresses, etc., unless you choose to provide that information to us. For example, you may contact us to inquire about a case, representation, or a lawsuit investigation, sign up for our mailing list, send a resume, or you may call us, or ask us to contact you. We maintain that information to accommodate your request. We do not share your personal information with any third party, except as detailed in Section Four.

If you choose to contact us by completing one of the contact forms on our website, your message is automatically forwarded to us. We may respond to your inquiry using any of the contact information you provide including by email, text message, or phone call. We retain your information in a database, which is not shared with third parties.

Unless specifically requested and you use the method that we identify for such purpose do not send or submit to us through the Site any confidential or sensitive information such as credit card numbers, national ID numbers, social security numbers, health insurance number, license numbers, birthdays or the like. Any such submission may be considered a waiver of the confidentiality of such information.

Section Three: Links

Links to websites that are not operated by or for Morgan Pilate (“Third Party Sites”) may be provided within the Site, solely as a convenience to you. If you use these links, you will leave the Site. This Privacy Policy does not apply to Third Party Sites. We have not reviewed the Third Party Sites, do not control and are not responsible for any of their content or their privacy policies, if any. We do not endorse or make any representations about them, or any information, software or other products or materials found there, or any results that may be obtained from using them. If you decide to access any of the Third Party Sites listed on or linked to from any of the Sites, you should understand that you do so at your own risk.

Section Four: Sharing of Information

Morgan Pilate may disclose and/or transfer your personal information (i) to its trusted third party service providers (for example, companies that provide systems, web hosting and other IT services; internal and external advisors and auditors); (ii) if required by applicable law; (iii) in connection with a reorganization or combination of our firm with another firm, (iv) if it believes that such disclosure is necessary to enforce or apply its terms of use and other agreements or otherwise protect and defend Morgan Pilate’s rights, property or safety or that of our clients and other users of the Site; (v) in order to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or other legal obligation, or a regulatory or government inquiry; or (vi) with your consent.

Section Five: Security

We seek to use reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative measures to protect user information within Morgan Pilate against unauthorized or unlawful access or processing, and against accidental loss, destruction, or damage. We believe that these measures are reasonably adapted to the nature of the information in our custody.

However, even though Morgan Pilate makes reasonable efforts to protect information in its custody, no data storage or transmission over the Internet and no security system is fully secure. Thus, we cannot guarantee the security of any information we may have collected or received from you or transmitted to you.

Section Six: Aggregated, Anonymized, or Statistical Information

We generate and use aggregated, anonymized, or statistical information about the use of the Site. We may provide this information to third parties such as our advisers or consultants for research, analytical or strategic purposes. This information is not intended to allow the identification of any specific user of the Site.

Section Seven: Choice Regarding Marketing

If you no longer want to receive marketing-related material from us, you may opt-out of receiving these communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in such communications or by emailing us at mmorgan@morganpilate.com. We will try to comply with your request as soon as practicable.

Please note that even though you have opted-out of receiving marketing-related communications from us, we may still send you important administrative messages.

Section Eight: Notice to Minors

The Site is not directed at and is not intended to be visited by children under the age of 16. No visitor to the Site who is a minor should provide any personal information to Morgan Pilate. If you are a minor, do not visit our Site and do not send any type of personal information about yourself.
