Katy Savrick

ATTORNEY

Katy’s passion for ensuring that a client’s rights are respected while they are caught in the criminal justice system drives her to provide the best representation for each client. She knows that compassionate and holistic legal representation is the cornerstone of defending a client when they are charged with a crime. She brings a wealth of experience from different courts and practice areas with her to Morgan Pilate, which she utilizes to craft innovative legal strategies. Having spent the first three years of her practice as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County, Texas, Katy has handled thousands of cases, from traffic tickets to murder, and everything in between. She moved to Little Rock, Arkansas in 2022, where she practiced a combination of civil and criminal law. There, she had the privilege of working on a team of lawyers that secured the acquittal of a client charged with capital murder in the tragic death of his five-month-old son and honed her legal writing abilities by drafting extensive written pleadings in civil cases.

Katy moved to Kansas City with her wife in 2025. When she is not working, Katy can be found reading any book she can get her hands on, spending time with her wife, dog, and two cats, or baking desserts to share.
